How my Stained Glass Journey started…

Hi! I’m Jenn and I’m the artist behind JThrees Glass Art. 

I am a serial crafter and have been for most of my adult life.  I have tried SO many different crafts and art mediums. I spent a couple years working with stained glass, only for mosaic art. That changed in 2019. 

In December of 2019, I crossed paths with a woman who ended up gifting me all of the supplies for stained glass. Soldering iron, grinder, wire, books and some beautiful 24” sheets of Spectrum glass. I wasn’t aware of how special the glass was. I didn’t know what all the tools were. 

I played around with it, but got frustrated really quickly. When Covid hit, I found myself having a lot more free time at home. I began watching videos, reading and following other stained glass artists on Instagram. And I practiced. I made some really horrible pieces. But I was determined to get good! I practiced more and more and it finally clicked  

I’m in love with glass. The refractions, the history, and the way the light moves through it.
